Changwon LG, 1 win and 1 loss against daily Ryukyu

Changwon LG Sakers recorded one win and one loss against the Ryukyu Golden Kings Japan in Okinawa, Japan, during the off-season training.

Changwon LG won 88-84 in the second practice game against Ryukyu, a member of the B League, at Okinawa Arena in Okinawa, Japan on the 23rd.

The Okinawa Arena is home to the Ryukyu Club and is the first NBA-style gymnasium in Asia that opened in 2021. Along with state-of-the-art facilities, the arena can accommodate up to 9,000 people. The opposing team, Ryukyu, is a former member of the Philippines team Carl Tamayo, who joined LG in the Asian quarter. He ranked second in the Western Division 41 wins and 19 losses last season and advanced to the finals in the playoff.
LG, which suffered a crushing 67-87 defeat in the first game held the previous day, recovered by winning the second game.

Early stages were not good. He allowed KBL experienced Kebe Aluma to play an Eli-up dunk, falling behind 7-17. Since then, three-pointers have made a series of unexpected turns of the mood. As Tamayo made an easy layup in the last minute, LG finished the first quarter 18-24. With 7:36 left in the second quarter, LG trailed it 26-27 thanks to Du Kyung-min's successful 3-pointer. With about seven minutes left, Tamayo's turnaround jumper enabled the team to come from behind to win the game 28-27. Since then, both teams have played seesaw games. However, Choi Jin-soo's series of mistakes deprived LG of the lead again, ending the second quarter trailing 38-45.

With 6:57 left in the third quarter, LG followed suit with a 3-pointer by Du Kyung-min and a 2-point lead. However, the mood was depressed again when they allowed opponent Aluma to score an Eli-Op dunk. LG tied the game thanks to Maray's performance, but fell behind again after failing to block big man Jack Cooley's score.

Starting the fourth quarter with 60-67 points, LG scored by inducing an opponent's foul to score a free throw after Tamayo had an offensive early on. Tamayo then scored through a bold breakthrough following a fastball. Following the score of 73-73, LG succeeded in turning the tables 75-73 with Daryl Monroe's jump shot with about five minutes left. LG took the lead with a mid-range jumper by Du Kyung-min and Monroe to take a 79-73 lead. LG was chased up to 87-84 by Aluma, giving up a 3-pointer to Aluma with 14 seconds left in the fourth quarter, but Monroe made one of the two free throws, and eventually won the game by a four-point margin.

"Thank you Ryukyu for inviting us to a good stadium and making a good game," LG manager Cho Sang-hyun said. "We made changes in defense. It's great because the players made the game for us." "I'm thinking about how to proceed with the season while practicing. I'm going to take a long season and change the offensives and defense every time I play against teams, so how systematically the players can move is important." Cho added meaning to the exchanges between Korea and Japan and hoped for more active exchanges in the future.  안전한 파워볼사이트
